2026 Slide Show Themes

January –Nature's Reflection - Serene and restorative, calm, mirrored tranquility, Harmony between earth and sky, A quiet echo of the natural world, stillness captured in time.

February – Still Life - Focusing on capturing inanimate objects. This can include a variety of subjects such as flowers, fruits, books, and vintage items. The goal is to create visually appealing images through careful arrangement, composition, and lighting. It often emphasizes the aesthetic qualities, textures, and symbolic meanings of the objects being photographed.

March – Negative Space - Use the surrounding area around the subject to create drama or emphasis. it can include open skies, empty fields, or any less busy areas that help to define and emphasize the positive space (the main subject). This technique allows the viewer's eye to rest and draws attention to the focal point of the image.

April – Architectural Details - Capture unique architectural details of buildings.

May – Transportation - Show various types of transportation from cars, planes, boats, trains, buses, etc., even transportation such as horses. Must be shown as being used as a transportation source.

June – Action/Movement/Motion - A photograph that gives a sense of motion. The moving subject can be a person, animal, man-made object or water. Note that the subject must be moving (water flowing, person walking, running, etc. bird flying, singing, etc., Ball moving in the air). Sitting objects are not included in this theme.

August – Tranquility - An image that conveys a feeling of calmness, peace and tranquility.

September – Natural Streams - Capture the serene and dynamic nature of flowing water in a natural setting, showing a ceaseless flow and intertwined landscape, expressing both dynamism and peace.

October – Shadow Play - Shadow play photography uses light and shadow to create striking contrasts, intriguing shapes, and visual mystery that add depth and drama to an image.

November - Season Changes - Focus on the beauty of different seasons, capturing the essence of spring blooms, summer activities, autumn colors, or winter landscapes.
