Bald Head Island Birding Tour - Coastal Carolina Camera Club   Wednesday, April 29, 2020

Program Details

Join Conservancy Education Staff on a guided tour of the best birding spots on breathtaking Bald Head Island! Bald Head Island has been designated an “Important Bird Area” by Audubon due to the incredible diversity of birds that can be found here, including ibis,
painted bunting, egrets, herons, and shorebirds. Come on this guided tour as we search for many different species of birds among various island ecosystems, including BHI’s pristine beach, maritime forest, and salt marsh. Great photographic opportunities!
Afterwards, explore Bald Head Island at your own pace and visit restaurants, shops, the Old Chapel, the remains of Ft. Holmes, or the Old Baldy Lighthouse and Museum, all within walking distance of the Marina. Your return ferry ticket may be used for any ferry, so stay on Bald Head Island as long as you like!
